Beer Festival LINE-UP // 1st – 5th May 2014

What would a festival be without music? We’ve got some of the best bands, DJs and musicians in the area to perform over all 5 days of the fest, ensuring your ears are happy as you discover your new favourite brew.

As well as music and food, there’ll be a beer exhibition featured throughout the pub to educate you on all things beer, and prepare you for our specially themed booze quiz on Sunday night. Get ready for 5 days of pure delights…

Thursday 1st May

Pete Gage, Craig Crofton, Paul Hartshorn, Duncan Kingston & Rob Brian – 8.45pm Original interpretations of classic blues and gospel tunes from ex Dr Feelgood front man Pete Gage, renowned saxophonist Craig Crofton and a group of immensely talented, electric performers – not to be missed!

Friday 2nd May

Airsick Andy and The Cider Sliders – 7.30pm – 9pm
From the wilds of Somerset come Airsick Andy and the Cider Sliders. Expect chaos, anarchy and cider fuelled mayhem, with some original rockin’ blues and country tunes.

The Boothill All Stars – 9.30pm – 11.30pm
Beer, banjos, quiffs, geetars, ladies in feathers, lots and lots of leaping around and general jollity with crackin’ country romps!

Electro Swing DJ – 12am – 2am
Dance the night away with the swinging sounds of electro beats and finish the night in serious style.







Saturday 3rd May

All day BBQ

Celtic Connections – 12pm – 4pm // Bring your instrument and join in or simply sit back and soak up the celtic vibes
Josh White – 4.30pm – 5.30pm // Hugely talented acoustic singer-songwriter, Josh White wows us on guitar, kicking off an evening of live performances
Dr Zeebo’s Wheezy Club – 6pm – 7pm // A fun loving 3 piece, playing good time, foot stompin’, swinging folk.
The Magic Tractor – 7.30pm – 8.30pm // Rockin’ 60s mod and garage tunes from this energetic 3 piece from Frome!
The White City Shakers – 9pm – 11pm // Foot stompin’ Rhythm & Blues string band from the West Country, headlining our Saturday night in style
Pic’n’mixmaster Small Paul and DJ Allday-Breakfast – 11.30pm – 2am // Everybody’s favourite fun-loving DJs spinning anything from northern soul, motown, rumba and more from the greatest decades of dance floor fillers











Sunday 4th May

Taste Fusions 1pm – 6pm // Try out different flavours from around the world to pair with your beer
Sausage Sunday 12pm – 7pm // Serving up delicious sausages and burgers from William & Sons butchers
Milk Street Jam Sessions 4pm – 7.30pm // Live acoustic jamming, free drink for every player
The Griffin Beer Quiz hosted by Andy Morten – 8.30pm





Monday 5th May

Beer and Barbie 2pm – 6pm // Sizzling up some weird and wonderful combinations on the BBQ to wash down with your favourite beer, to the sounds of roots and reggae.
Baku Dan 6pm – 8pm //  Winding down the weekend with some afro-funk vibes
Pub Quiz 8.30pm // If your head’s still functioning then get a team together and join in our weekly pub  quiz

All music events are free – donations are welcomed and gratefully received by all the performers.
£1 entry per person for all quizzes, teams of up to 6.
